What is FISK?

The FISK conference, which began in remembrance of a dear member of COCMA for many years, Karen Fisk, is an opportunity for healthcare marketing professionals to come together to learn and network with fellow industry like individuals in a one day unique and interactive setting.

Karen Fisk, who lost her battle with cancer in 2007 was a shining member of COCMA who loved healthcare marketing and business development. She was a mentor to many who worked with her, and with her memory in mind, the FISK Conference continues to grow with the same support and nurturing attitude from COCMA members.

The COCMA organization is passionate about making the field of healthcare marketing and networking smarter, more progressive, technologically advanced and well rounded. With this one day conference, speakers offer in-site, knowledge and organization to our participants in an energetic environment. Each year the FISK Conference has grown with not only the number of people who attend, but the depth of the content offered. Join us this year to take advantage of all of the great opportunities this event has to offer!

Do you struggle with knowing your end goal, but not sure how to get to your destination? Do you find yourself questioning whether you are communicating clearly or causing misunderstandings that cause your messages to be misinterpreted.

Your success is determined, in large part, by how well you interact and influence others.

The ability to effectively relate, communicate, influence and motivate others is a critical skill in creating successful relationships with subordinates, customers, prospects, colleagues, managers, friends and family. This session will use Extended DISC to equip you with skills to help make conscious decisions on how to modify your behavior. Instead of repeating the same behavior over and over with people who have unique characteristics and preferences, you will learn how to modify your behavior based on other peoples’ style in order to improve the effectiveness of your communications.
